Grants for Participation in the 10th World Congress
The Organising & Scientific Committee has decided to give 30 grants for participation in the 10th World Congress on Water Resources and Environment (Athens, 5-9 July 2017) as follows:
Five (5) grants to prominent Scientist/Engineer from a developing country
The grants include full participation to all Congress activities (including the Gala dinner) with full fee waiver. Selected participants have to pay for travel & accommodation.
Five (5) grants young Scientists/Engineers (up to 30 years old) from a developing country
The grants include full participation to all Congress activities (including the Gala dinner) with full fee waiver. Selected participants have to pay for travel & accommodation.
Five (5) grants to students from a developing country
The grants include participation at Student category plus Gala dinner. Selected students (undergraduate or postgraduate) have to pay for travel & accommodation.
Five (5) grants to students from any country (mainly from low income countries)
The grants include participation at Student category plus Gala dinner. Selected students (undergraduate or postgraduate) have to pay for travel & accommodation.
Ten (10) grants to young Scientists / Engineers grant from a developing country for distant papers submission
Fee waiver will be provided for successful candidates of this category.
Application forms for these grants are available at the website of the Congress. The deadline for applications is end of September 2016. All applicants should provide full address, title of the submitted abstract to the Congress and a 10 line short CV. The applicants should also provide 2-3 sentences describing their contribution in the submitted work. The students, who will be selected, will be asked for a University certificate later on.
The grants of the first four categories apply to oral, poster or demonstration papers, whereas grants the fifth category apply to distant papers only.
All participants will be notified on the acceptance of their application few days before the early bird payment.
The evaluation of the applications will be the task of a specially appointed committee which will assist the Organising & Scientific Committee for the selection of the successful applicants. The criteria of selection will be:
- the significance and innovation of the proposed abstract
- the clear structure and the presentation of the abstract
- the CV of the applicant
- the role of the applicant in the work reported in the abstract
Successful applicants have to submit full paper later on and have it accepted for presentation.
