    • he/she is the sole owner of the copyright in each image;
    • he/she has the permission of those pictured in the image (or, where the image shows any persons under 18, the consent of their parent/guardian) for the usage rights required by the Competition and will indemnify the Competition against any claims made by any third parties in respect of such infringement;

  6. The Participant grants the Competition organisers a non-exclusive, irrevocable, royalty-free licence to reproduce, enlarge, publish or exhibit, on any media, the photographs and their associated title and short description for any purpose connected with the Competition. This may include, but is not limited to:

  8. The Competition will be open from March 15 until May 31, 2017. All entries must be submitted through the on-line submission form, available at http://ewra2017.ewra.net/photo_competition within the aforementioned period. The submission of the photographs must be accompanied by a title and a short description of each photograph. The submitted photographs must be in .jpg format with resolution not less than 1920 x 1080 pixels. If the photographs are included in the final short list, the Participant may be asked to provide higher resolution images (see #3). In case the Participant fails to provide an image that fulfils the criteria, he/she may be disqualified.
  9. No responsibility can be taken by the Competition organisers for images that are incorrectly submitted.
  10. A panel of judges will assess all images and a short list will be devised. Three winners will be chosen from among those short-listed images who have met the image quality criteria. The decision of the judges is final and no correspondence will be entered into. Should the entries fall below the standard required by the Competition organisers and the judges, then the organisers reserve the right not to award prizes. All winners will be notified by email and a prize presentation ceremony will be held during the EWRA2017 World Congress. The prizes for the three winners are a Certificate and a fee waiver for EWRA1017 Congress, including the Gala Dinner and the Congress Excursion.
    Ten short listed participants will receive certificates for their successful   participation.
  11. The Competition organisers reserve the right to amend the Rules and if they do so, they will publish the amended version at http://ewra2017.ewra.net/phc2017-rules. It is responsibility of the Participants to check regularly the aforementioned website for updated information. If the Participant does not agree to any changes to these Rules, then the only remedy is to withdraw from the Competition.
  12. Any breach of these Rules by the Participant will void his/her entry. If a breach has occurred, but is discovered after the award of a prize, the Competition organisers may require the return of that prize.
  13. These Rules and the relationship between the Participant and the Competition shall be governed by Greek law. Any dispute may be decided by the Greek courts in Greece.
