EWRA2017 – World Photography Competition

“Water as a Resource or Hazard”

The Organising Committee of EWRA2017 World Congress has the pleasure to announce an open Photography Competition, which will be one of the side events of the Congress. The theme of the competition is “Water as a Resource or Hazard”, aiming at promoting the unique role of water for life.

The competition is open to everyone, amateurs and professionals, from any country of the world. There are no restrictions on the type of camera that will be used, while the images can be digitally enhanced. The resolution of the images must be at least 1920 x 1080. However, if the photographs are included in the final short list, the participants may be asked to provide higher resolution images.

The competition will be open from March 15 until May 31, 2017. Each participant may participate with 1 to 3 photographs. The photographs should be sent through the on-line submission form, available at this page (below). By entering the competition, the participant agrees to abide by the rules of the competition, which can be found at http://ewra2017.ewra.net/phc2017-rules.

After the end of the competition, the EWRA2017 Photography Competition Committee will select a short list of the best photographs, which will be in display during the EWRA2017 World Congress.

The three winners of the competition will be announced during the EWRA General Assembly (July 7, 2017 – Wyndham Grand Athens hotel), although they will be informed earlier. The prizes for the three winners of the competition are a Certificate and a fee waiver for EWRA1017 Congress, including the Gala Dinner and the Congress Excursion.

Ten short listed participants will receive certificates for their successful participation.
